4Nine Mod by Tarsius Customs (Authentic)

Tarsius Customs

The 4Nine Mod by Tarsius Customs is 49mm tall ((hence the name "4Nine") in 18350 mode and easily one of the smallest mechanical mods in all three tube configurations. Part of the reason for its diminutive size is that the 4Nine is a "hybrid" mod that has only a 510-threaded ring rather than a traditional top cap. Reducing the size even more, the magnetic firing button does not have or need a locking ring because the button is recessed and the 4Nine will not misfire when set on a flat surface. Without a traditional top cap, your atomizer's center pin makes direct contact with the battery. Direct battery contact combined with low-resistance copper or brass tubing results in almost zero voltage drop and makes the super-compact 4Nine one of the hardest hitting mods ever produced. Machining is precise and the brushed tubes that support 18350, 18500 and 18650 batteries fit together so seamlessly that you have to unscrew them to know they are there.

The copper recessed switch is beautifully engraved with a serial number and a Philippine Tarsier, one of the world's smallest primates at only 3 to 6 inches tall (fitting for a mod with an incredibly small form factor). The switch housing is double grooved for finger comfort. The firing switch contains a neodymium magnet and is paired with another neodymium magnet disk (provided) that attaches to the bottom of the battery. When paired, the two magnets repel each other and give the firing switch a nice button feel. Neodymium magnets are the strongest type of permanent magnet commercially available. There are vent holes in the top cap and the bottom firing button. The 4Nine should provide you with a lifetime of cloud-blowing enjoyment because there are no springs or any other parts that can wear out. If you are into stealth and simplicity and want one of the most compact, hard-hitting mechanical mods ever produced, the 4Nine is a worthy contender.

1 x 4Nine Mod by Tarsius Customs

The 4Nine's minimalist style and hybrid design means business and is aimed at serious, advanced users. Please do not order this device if you are not familiar with Ohm's Law and safe battery use. Make sure your atomizer has an adequately exposed center post. There is potential for a hard short if the center post is not longer than the outer threads. In other words, the positive connection on your atomizer must protrude beyond the outer threads (see the image below). Button top batteries are recommended but not required. Some atomizers may be too long due to the hybrid top cap. Atomizers with threaded adjustable center pins are recommended.

(See the video above). Remove the top cap from the 18350 tube and thread it onto your atomizer. Make sure the pin on your atomizer is exposed through the top cap opening. Some atomizer pins are adjustable, some are not.  Slide the button and magnet out of the bottom tube and separate them. Attach the magnet to the bottom (negative side) of your battery. Drop the button back into the tube making sure the engraved side is facing outwards and adjust it until it is fully seated. Drop the battery with magnet attached bottom side down into the tube. The battery should now bounce up and down due to the opposing forces of the magnets. If you heard a click, you put the magnet on backward and it is stuck to the button rather than the battery. Connect the 4Nine tubes to fit the desired battery length. Finally, connect the top cap with atomizer attached to the tube. Make sure the unit does not heat up until you press the firing button.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Mechanical mods are an ADVANCED USER PRODUCT and should NOT be used if you do not have proper knowledge of your battery's Amp limit and how to test your atomizer's resistance. With the exception of DOA WARRANTY ONLY, we do NOT offer a warranty or exchange on mechanical mods due to the nature of these products. We check every mod prior to shipping and we are NOT responsible for any parts lost by you.
